Strategic advice on governance and structural options and approaches to knowledge brokering for the proposed new Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS), under contract to Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC).

Strategic review of Coliban Water's sustainability strategies and activities.

Resilience theory and regional natural resource management

A subcontract to Halcrow, providing strategic advice and peer review on a project for the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) exploring the practical value and implications of resilience concepts in the implementation of the Land & Biodiversity White Paper.

Food systems for a carbon, water, energy and nutrient-constrained world

A book to be published by CSIRO Publishing, building on the Paddock to Plate work.

Knowledge for Managing Australian Landscapes

A book co-edited with Prof Ted Lefroy and Dr Siwan Lovett, exploring Australia's journey towards more sustainable management of its landscapes, ecosystems and natural resources — and in parallel with that journey, the development of our understanding about how best to organise, manage, broker and fund research and development (R&D) activities in this sector.  The Land & Water Australia legacy conference provides a springboard for this exploration.

Consultancy to the Department of Climate Change (DCC), in partnership with Gerry Morvell, to conduct an operational review of the NCCARF.

Consultancy to DEWHA, acting on behalf of the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) to assist in the development and drafting of a National Water Knowledge and Research Strategy.

Independent Review of the Draft National Biodiversity Strategy

Consultancy for DEWHA reviewing the draft National Biodiversity Strategy

Strategic advice and issues paper input for the NSW Natural Resources Commission

Input to the NRC's Mid-Term Review of natural resource management arrangements in NSW.

Governance arrangements for the South-eastern Australia Fisheries R&D Program

Strategic advice, workshop facilitation and draft strategy preparation to assist with working out collaborative research governance arrangements for a multi-jurisdictional research programn focusing on climate change impacts in fisheries from the SA/WA border around to the NSW/Qld border.

Policy working paper for a new soil policy framework for New South Wales

Consultancy for the Lands Department of NSW to facilitate stakeholder workshops and prepare a draft soil policy framework for NSW that tackles contemporary issues and challenges in soil management.

Review of the Highlights Report of the Joint Venture Agroforestry Program (JVAP)

Independent review of a synthesis and highlights report of fifteen years of agroforestry research, commissioned by the Rural Industries R&D Corporation (RIRDC).

Initiation and scoping work for the Peter Cullen Water and Environment Trust

Andrew Campbell and Ken Matthews convened a dinner of friends and colleagues of the late Professor Peter Cullen, which led to a scoping study for the establishment of a Perpetual Trust in Peter's name, and an establishment grant of $1million from the Australian Government through the National Water Commission.
